Mexico like Canada and the United States is part of North America. It is hotter than Canada because it is closer to the Equator. Its full name is the United States of Mexico.

Unlike Canada which has English and French as the official languages, and the U.S.A. which has only English, Mexico has Spanish as its official language. In Puerto Vallarta a lot of people can speak a certain amount of English because its main industry is tourism.

Puerto Vallarta is in the state of Jalisco on the west coast (i.e. the Pacific Ocean). Puerto means "port". It is south of the Baha Peninsula and north of Acapulco.
